Administrative Assistants
Throughout the year, Lindy Center for Civic Engagement hires work-study students to serve as Administrative Assistants in our office. In this role, students support staff members on various projects and build capacity for the Center to welcome visitors and address their questions. Most Administrative Assistants serve at our front desk as a first point-of-contact for people coming in to the Center during our open hours (generally Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm) or calling. Administrative Assistants may also support special events such as First Fridays. We also seek students who are especially interested in the following projects:
- Event and program planning and support
- Volunteer opportunity database support
- Office administration support
- Marketing, social media, and content creation support
Workers will be trained in office knowledge and will be expected to work at least 8 hours per week throughout the term with recurring weekly hours.
Knowledge of Microsoft office, Mailchimp, and Canva preferred but training on all necessary platforms can be provided.
